The Rumors vs. the Truth

Michelle Trachtenberg has been the subject of rumors.  Here's the rumors and the actual truth behind them.

Michelle Trachtenberg Pregnant and Abortion:

• A blogger on IMDB has claimed that on the third of march of last year, he met up with a very drunk Michelle Trachtenberg at the Hilton in Los Angeles and "hooked up with her".  He claims his name is Jake Landit and that she called him a week later asking him what he was going to do about it.  She supposedly cried on his cell phone while leaving him a message.  He also claims to have her phone number.  Here's a link to the actual post.   A note on this link:  IMDB deleted the topic because the claims were deemd to be false.

• This whole story is FALSE.  She doesn't know anyone named Jake Landit and has never been pregnant.  This particular blogger has made such stories up about other young actresses, making rather wild and false claims.

Michelle Trachtenberg's Cocaine Habit:

• A couple of bloggers on Perez Hilton's website claimed to have seen Michelle Trachtenberg snorting cocaine.   On person claims she was with her at an after party and saw her go into the bathroom many times, proof she was doing cocaine.  Another blogger claims Michelle frequents a club in new York called 1 Oak, where she does cocaine all the time.

• Contrary to what these bloggers have claimed, she doesn't do drugs.  Although cocaine is everywhere and available on films sets, she doesn't indulge in cocaine, or any other drugs, including marijuana.

Michelle Trachtenberg - Bulimia

• Some bloggers have claimed on some gossip websites that Michelle Trachtenberg has struggled with bulimia all her life.

• We are going to go with a couple of "our sources" who have had dinner with her and some of her friends and the answer to this is she doesn't have any eating disorder.  She does like to cook and has put a couple of recipes on some blogs and interviews - one is on her Cosmopolitan magazine blog.

Michelle Trachtenberg' Fainting Spell, Drug Use?

• Michelle Trachtenberg supposedly fainted during her hosting at the Sunglass Hut in SoHo.  She supposedly ate an entire basket of bread and drank two bottles of Gatorade.  She seems to have anorexia, according to a source.  Perez Hilton reposted this story, implying she was under the influence of cocaine.

• When on "The Ryan Seacrest Show", Ryan Seacrest asked her about this particular rumor.  Surprisingly, this is true, but she fainted because she didn't drink enough water and the place was very hot.  She drank a glass of orange juice (Not two bottles of Gatorade and didn't eat an entire bread basket.) and felt well enough to continue her hosting duties.  Someone who did work at the event had said she was very professional  and nice to everyone and apologized for her fainting.

Is Michelle Really THAT Hard to Work With?

• According to various internet bloggers who claim to have worked on films she has appeared in, she is quite a nasty tempered person.  One person recalls she threw a pizza box at a production assistant who got her the wrong pizza when she was working on "Ice Princess".   Another blogger claiming to be an extra said she threw a major temper tantrum and held up shooting for eight hours on the set of "Gossip Girls" because the wardrobe assistant got her the wrong size shoes.

• According to several people and her co-stars who were actually on the sets, the incidents never happened.  She is very easy to work with and is as nice as possible to everyone on the set, including extras and production assistants.

Pregnancy Rumors:

• Rumors about Michelle being pregnant surface once in a while, especially on the internet.  Photos of her at the Foley + Corrina store opening show she's pregnant.

• Below is a photo from the same event.  She's obviously not pregnant.  (The balloon isn't a quote from her... it's there for comic purposes..)
  
  

The Dating Rumors:

• Chase Crawford.  She was reportedly "flirting heavily" with him at an unnamed restaurant in Soho.

• The two of them were filming a scene, not actually having dinner together.    She also denied the rumors in an interview for New York Magazine.

• Joshua Radin,  A source told a magazine that they have the same friends, and have raised their level of "friendship"  Joshua Radin has also allegedly been quoted as saying that he thinks Michelle Trachtenberg is cool. 

• This story is full of conjecture and just made up things..   A friend of his has supposedly stated "It’s not serious between him and Michelle just yet, but he thinks she's a cool girl."  The person was misquoted, the quote actually was, "There is nothing serious between Jason and Michelle Trachtenberg.  He does like some of her films".  There is no relationship between the two of them at this time, and generally, she doesn't date musicians.  Her quote on the subject of musicians, "Every girl likes a bad boy and I like musicians, but the groupies and the paranoia of who they are with on the road doesn't suit me".

• Brandon Hirsch.  She went to Las Vegas and   hooked up with Brandon Hisrch, the manager of Club Butter.  They were seen kissing and making out all over Las Vegas.  They went to a Killers concert together where they were seen making out and Brandon swept her off her feet during the song, "Mr. Ringside."  They later went to a club where her "ex", DJ AM was spinning tunes while they made out all night. 

• This story has some truth to it.  Michelle Trachtenberg did go to a Killers concert, she was in Las Vegas, and she did go to a party.  She was in Las Vegas to unwind after a long shooting schedule.   She got invited to Wayne Brady's birthday party and decided to make it a weekend vacation for herself.  She went to a Killers concert, (Not with Brandon Hrisch.) got backstage to talk to them (She is friends with the band.).  Brandon Hirsch was nowhere to be found, since at the time, he was in New York at, you guessed it at Club Butter.  (Was it mentioned he is the manager of the place?)   She went to Wayne Brady's birthday party, where she did talk to a lot of people, including some guy friends that were there.  She went back to her own hotel room after the party, no prospective lovers in tow.  After that, back to Los Angeles.   The journalist made this story up and there were a couple of jokes put in the story - the one of her dating a club manager (She does know Brandon Hirsch, but he during an interview filmed around this time for a segment called Eligible Bachelors, he said he isn't dating anyone.) "befits the little sister of Buffy because he is a night owl" and her "ex" DJ AM (She was coupled up with him by the press, see above.) spinning tunes while her and her "new love" are making out on the floor, and her being "swept off her feet" ( Cliched and contrived.).  One shard of truth to the story, it was 2007.

• Kevin Connolly.  She and Kevin Conolly were making out in front of a liquor store before getting some wine.  They were drinking and making out all night.

• The video is so fuzzy it isn't possible to tell who the two people were.  The night this supposedly happened, she was at a small gathering of friends celebrating her getting the Breakthrough Performer's Award for Beautiful Ohio she had won the week before.  She and someone went to the liquor store to get a bottle of champagne to celebrate.  She and the person driving (Kevin Connolly, by the video.) were stone cold sober and weren't making out in his car.   The video also just show her running and hiding in the car in an effort to ditch the person who was videotaping her.

• Jason Lewis.  She had dinner at the Chateau Marmont restaurant with him.

• Much like the Robbie Williams rumor, this one was based on someone seeing her there with Jason Lewis.  We'd like to say it was Jason Lewis, but that wasn't even the case.  She was actually having dinner with a columnist from E!, who published this fact on his blog on the E! News web site.   Obviously, the person who saw them didn't know who Jason Lewis is....

• Robbie Williams.  She and Robbie Williams were supposedly seen at Fred Segal, shopping together and had a relationship.

• This rumor started when a photographer got a picture of her and Robbie Williams leaving the mall, apart.  She doesn't know Robbie Williams and just said Hi to him as they were because they were exiting the store at the same time.  If the photographer had waited two more minutes, she would have been photographed with her sister and mother, the two people she was actually with at the time.

• Lydia Hearst.  Halloween of 2006, she ran around with Lydia Hearst and began a lesbian fling with her.  She and Lydia Hearst supposedly went to Scores, a well known strip joint in New York and did a strip show together, kissing on each other.

• This is completely false.  They went to a Halloween party together, Michelle Trachtenberg in a Snow White costume, and Lydia Hearst as a vampire.  The two of them are friends and have been friends since childhood.  But they never had any kind of affair and neither of them have ever been to Scores.

• Adam Goldstien (DJ AM).  Photos of her and DJ AM at lunch show the two of them getting "friendly".

• Like the Pete Wentz videos, the photos and videos of the two of them show them getting anything but friendly.  She supposedly also went to Club Stereo in New York and "dirty danced" with Bijou Phillips to entertain DJ AM.  This is not true, either.   Photos do exist of her and Bijou Phillips in the DJ booth trying their hand at spinning records and in fact, that is all that happened.  The original story was supposed to be "Michelle and Bijou:  Future DJs?", but because a "relationship" between Michelle Trachtenberg, Bijou Phillips, and DJ AM would would be more entertaining, the story was completely modified with made up events.

• Pete Wentz.  A photo of them leaving a restaurant holding hands and some videos of the two of them at his housewarming party and at a concert proves they were together.

• This rumor is false.  Pete Wentz wiped the slate clean when asked by Ted Casablanca if he dated Michelle Trachtenberg and his answer was "No."  Michelle Trachtenberg when answering the same question from Ted Casablanca said, "It's funny because I have a lot of guy friends and when I stand next to one of them, all of a sudden, we're dating.  Next thing you know, I'll be pregnant."  She has also said, ""I’m not looking to be on the cover of Us Weekly every week. I’m not about the gossip or ’Who is she dating?’ or blah, blah, blah. When, unfortunately, there are things in the tabloids about it, it’s very upsetting because you know it’s not true."

• Michelle Trachtenberg likes to "play the field."  The press has called her "Hollywood's Latest Bedhopper" and "Night Crawler".

• During her relationship with Shawn Ashmore, she stayed faithful to him and didn't date other guys.  The guys she was photographed with were mostly bodyguards and male friends.  She has a couple of stalkers who have endlessly harassed her and threatened. her.  For her own safety, she doesn't go out by herself

The Lindsay Rumors:

• Lindsay Lohan supposedly blew up at Michelle Trachtenberg last year during a New Year's Eve party.  According to a source, "The two girls hate each other." 

• This has a little shard of truth, Michelle Trachtenberg and Lindsay Lohan were at a party at the same time.  But the incident didn't happen.  Lindsay Lohan had invited Michelle Trachtenberg to a party she was throwing.  The two of them did hold a conversation, but it was an amicable one.  Someone from the press, in an effort to make Lindsay Lohan look like a psychopath, made the story up.  The truth of the matter, is the two of them are friends, and have gone to nightclubs together.

The Nude Eurotrip Topless Video:

• During the filming of "Eurotrip", the scene where she removes her shirt and bra to flag down a car while they are hitchhiking, she is completely topless.  There are still photos and a studio prerelease DVD which was shot from the front, showing her naked breasts. 

• During an interview on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show", she said there were no scenes of her topless in the film.  The one where she was flagging down a taxi topless, she was wearing pads covering her breasts.  Although she looks topless from behind (Which is how the scene was actually shot.) she isn't.   There have been no photos surfacing that shows her naked top, and the "studio prescreener version" on DVD of this film don't exist.  The deleted scene, which is on the unrated version of the DVD (and shown in the theatres after the credit roll.) doesn't show her from the front.  Also, the black tape used to hold the pads in place is clearly visible in some of the frames.
